Briose / Cupcakes

De cand am auzit de ele, mi-am dorit si eu sa le pot face. Cand eram in liceu, si faceam naveta in alt oras ca sa merg la cursuri, treceam des pe langa un magazin micut unde se vindeau briose, si imi cumparam din cand in cand, cu prietena si colega mea. Ma intriga felul in care sunt decorate de americani, pastel sau culori tari, vii, care iti atrag privirea si iti deschid apetitul fara sa iti dai seama.

Am avut prieteni in vizita in weekend si m-am gandit sa le pregatesc ceva deosebit la desert si asa m-am dechis sa inaugurez mai proaspata mea achizitie, tava de briose.

Reteta este cat se poate de simpla si poate fi modificata dupa bunul plac al consumatorilor cu arome de tot felul, de la vanilie si lamaie pana la cafea, wiskey, sau alte nebunii.

Eu am ales sa fac in 3 arome diferite, insa acum va prezint una din ele, pt ca pe restul le-am pastrat pt mai tarziu.

Ingrediente:

  • 1 ou
  • 200 gr faina
  • 1 plic zahar vaniliat
  • 60 ml lapte
  • 8o gr unt
  • 1 plic praf de copt
  • 1 varf cutit de bicarbonat
  • un praf de sare pt gust si esente in functie de tema aleasa
  • 140 gr zahar

Se topeste untul si se lasa la racit. Intr-un bol puneti ingredientele de mai sus, alandala, cum va vine mai usor: faina, zaharul, oul, esentele, si restul. Apoi adaugati si untul racit, dar inca in stare lichida si in cazul meu si putina culoare. Se amesteca toate cu o lingura pana se omogenizeaza si obtineti un aluat ca o pasta, destul de fluida, dar nu zemoasa:

Dupa aceasta se ia tava cu forme si in fiecare loc din tava se pune cate o hartiuta speciala pt briose, iar cu o lingura se umplu formele, pana la jumatate, pt ca va creste la cuptor si isi vor dubla volumul. Cuptoul trebuie putin incalzit inainte de a introduce tava, iar pe timpul coacerii se tine la foc mediu, cam 180 grade.

Dupa 25- 30 minute, frumoasele noastre briose sunt gata coapte. Se scot din cuptor si se lasa in tava cam 4- 5 minute sa se raceasca. Dupa racire se scot foarte usor din forme si se incepe decorarea. In cazul meu am trecut peste aceasta etapa insa inainte de a le baga in cuptor, am pus in fiecare forma cateva cereale de cacao, pt ca se potriveau cu esenta de rom folosita. Pt reteta de frosting si decoratiuni, promit solemn sa revin in viitoarele postari.

Ever since I heard about them, I wanted to bake them too. When I was in high school and commute to another town to go to school, I was often passing near a small shop where they sell muffins or cupcakes, and I used to buy from time to time with my friends and colleagues.  It intrigues me how Americans decorate the cupcakes, pastels and strong colors, that are very alive and that can easily get your attention and open your appetite without you realizing it.

We had friends over the weekend and I thought I could bake something special for dessert so I just  inaugurated my newest acquisition, my tray for muffins. The recipe is very simple and can be changed to please the consumers of all kinds, from vanilla and lemon to coffee, whiskey, or any other crazy combination.

This time I chose to do in 3 different flavors, but now I present you one of them, for the rest as I’ll keep  for a later occasion.

Ingredients:

1 egg
200 g flour
1 sachet vanilla sugar
60 ml milk
8o gr butter
1 sachet baking powder
1 knife tip of baking
a pinch of salt for taste and fragrances depending on the chosen theme
140 gr sugar

Melt the butter and leave it to cool. Add in a bowl the above ingredients, how it comes easier for you : flour, sugar, egg, essences, and others. Then add the cooled butter, but still in a liquid state and as in my case some color as well. Mix them all with a spoon until it gets smooth and quite fluid, but not juicy. After this fill in the cupcakes shaped tray by adding in every place the  special paper for muffins and fill in the forms until the half is full for it will rise in the oven and they will double their volume. The oven needs to be  slightly warmed before  putting in the tray and  during the baking it needs to have medium temperature, about 180 degrees.
After 25 to 30 minutes, our beautiful baked muffins / cupcakes are ready.  When the tray is taken off the oven leave it for  about 4 to 5 minutes to cool down. After cooling it will be easily remove the cupcakes from the forms and then you can start decorating. In my case I got over this stage but before putting the tray into the oven, I added a few grains of cocoa in each form of, for it was matching with rum I used.

    Si pt pont Gela, inca un mulumesc. Stiu ca sunt si feluri mai naturale de a le colora insa eu m-am trezit tarziu ca am nevoie de culori in prajituri si am recurs la alte variante. Pe viitor sper sa folosesc numai ingrediente naturale🙂
